Gluster 3.1 Release Notes: Upgrading to Gluster 3.1

Existing GlusterFS 2.0.x and 3.0.x users need to install GlusterFS v3.1 on all servers and clients when upgrading. GlusterFS v3.1 requires that all glusterfs and glusterd instances be the same version. Gluster does not support any other versions of GlusterFS when running GlusterFS v3.1.

Note: Gluster recommends that you back up your existing configuration and volume files prior to installing GlusterFS v3.1.
