Gluster 3.1: Exploring the Gluster Management Console

Gluster Storage Platform offers an advanced yet simple-to-use web-based graphical user interface to manage your clustered storage environment. This section describes the main sections of the user interface and explains the types of functions you can perform using each section.

Image:number-one.png Tabs - You can use the Management Console tabs to access the main administrative features of the system.
Image:number-two.png Task bar - Within each tab, you can use these buttons to perform a task, such as adding a server to your Gluster storage pool. Depending on the operation, you might need to select one or more entries in the results list before clicking the button.
Image:number-three.png Results list - The results list displays the entities managed using the corresponding tab. For example, the results list in the Volume Manager tab lists volumes in your storage environment while the results list in the Server Manager tab lists the servers in your environment.
Image:number-four.png Display settings - You can use the display settings to search for a specific entry, set the number of entries to display on each page (in the results list), or navigate to another page of entries.
Image:number-five.png Common task bar - You can perform general administrative tasks using these buttons, including changing the administrator's password, shutting down the server, rebooting the server, accessing the online help, and logging out.
