Gluster 3.1: Managing Volume Users

You can manage the users that are available for CIFS export authentication.

Fields

The following table describes the information you can specify when managing volume users:

User Name	The name of the user.
Password	The password for the user.
Confirm Password	The new user password confirmed.

To add a new user

1. Click the Settings tab.
2. Click Add User in the Volume Users pane. The Add User dialog appears.
   
   
   
   
3. Type the name of the new user in the User Name field.
4. Type the password for the new user in the Password field.
5. Retype the password in the Confirm Password field.
6. Click Add User.

To edit a user

1. Click the Settings tab.
2. Click Edit for the corresponding user in the Volume Users pane. The Edit User dialog appears.
3. Modify the name of the user in the User Name field, if required.
4. Modify the password for the user in the Password field, if required.
5. Retype the password in the Confirm Password field.
6. Click Save.

To delete a user

1. Click the Settings tab.
2. Click Delete for the corresponding user in the Volume Users pane. A confirmation dialog appears.
3. Click OK.
