I'm experiencing the same problems. Tests on XenServer 5.6 running Debian
Squeeze vm with latest kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64. 

Tested using gluster 3.1.1 debian package, gluster 3.1.1 from source and gluster
3.1.2qa2 and all of them crash vm with a kernel panic when running "gluster peer
status". 

Interestingly, when I do "strace gluster peer status" it does not crash; peer
status is shown and gluster exits normally...
